Educational grant providing supplementary funding to female Palestinian high achieving scholars in fields of STEM.
Economic Empowerment; Access to Education.
LE.O (Leonard Education Organization) provides financial support, mentoring and guidance to high achieving Palestinian students to study abroad. This grant supports 6-8 Palestinian scholars over the next three years studying at US, Canadian and MENA region universities.
LE.O is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2015 focused on empowering Palestinian students to pursue higher education. LE.O serves young Palestinians by securing and managing scholarships to universities and helping their personal development through guidance and academic mentoring. LE.O graduates are currently employed in US, Belgium, Canada, France, Lebanon, UK, UAE, Jordan and Palestine.
Meem Foundation’s grant will enable LE.O to support 6-8 Palestinian scholars’ higher education needs. These students come from high financial need backgrounds and demonstrate strong academic excellence by securing admissions to top universities. These grants defray additional costs such as stipends, equipment and material costs. LE.O accompanies students in their academic journey and adjustment to higher education outside their home countries.
