UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) is an agency of the United Nations responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. Its activities include disease prevention, enhancing childhood and maternal nutrition, improving sanitation and providing emergency relief. UNICEF is providing emergency humanitarian relief in the Gaza Strip following the conflict on October 7 in the Gaza Strip.
What
The UNICEF WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program provides access to clean water, basic toilets, and good hygiene practices. Through WASH, dignity kits which include sanitary and feminine hygiene products will be distributed within the Gaza Strip to women and girls.

What
100 Northern Emirati women will be given the opportunity to complete a comprehensive 8-week training program on data labeling and annotation focused on data creation for Arabic-first AI applications. This initiative plays a crucial role in building Arabic AI and empowers Emirati women by equipping them with in-demand skills in AI.

Summary
The Invest in Women (IWL) Program is a social investment with grants focused on the economic empowerment of women in Lebanon.
What
Since 2021, Meem Foundation has worked to enhance the capacity and reach of women empowerment organizations across Lebanon. We have funded 10 coalitions of 20 organizations of various sizes focused on multiple women’s economic empowerment themes including entrepreneurship, food manufacturing, handicrafts, legal rights, and mental health. Most of the projects are operating across rural Lebanon with 40% of beneficiaries consisting of those from refugee communities. These grants support capacity building of the organizations and enable future fundraising ability.
